Flintoff named in Lancashire squad for Surrey clash as he steps up his return from injury

13 April 2012

Andrew Flintoff has been named in a 12-man squad for Lancashire's opening Championship game against Surrey tomorrow.

The 30-year-old, who had his fourth ankle operation last October, is aiming to play for England in the First Test against New Zealand on 15 May.

"If I stay fit and perform, hopefully I'll be in the shake-up," said Flintoff, who has not played in any of England's past 13 Tests because of injury.
