Felipe Massa to take the flag at Brazil race

13 April 2012

Felipe Massa will wave the chequered flag at next week's Brazilian Grand Prix, it was announced today.

Race organisers made the invitation to the Ferrari driver, who has been out of Formula One since fracturing his skull during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix in July.

The Brazilian won last year's race at Interlagos but missed out on the title by a point.

Massa hopes to compete in the final Grand Prix of the season at Abu Dhabi on 1 November.
