Fasth takes Kiwi title and £107,000

Niclas Fasth beat Miles Tunnicliff at the second hole of a play-off to win the New Zealand Open and a cheque for £107,000 at Gulf Harbour.

The former Ryder Cup player from Sweden carded a closing 63 to tie with Tunnicliff on 22-under-par.

The Englishman was shaken by seeing one of his shots strike a spectator but said: "They told me she was going to be okay."
