Brentford, beaten in their last seven away games, might have looked at tonight's match against Northampton as the venue to break their dreadful losing run.

Northampton were bottom of Division Two prior to Saturday's shock win at second-placed Bristol City, but Brentford can ill afford to be complacent now.

Captain Paul Evans said: "You don't become a bad team overnight and we know we are capable of beating any team in this division.

"It's up to me as captain to pull them all together and lead by example. You only have to look at what Roy Keane has achieved at Manchester United to know it can be turned round."
