Edwards faces up to young pretender

World champion Jonathan Edwards puts his season's unbeaten record on the line in Oslo tonight against Christian Olsson - the Swede already dubbed the young pretender to his triple jump crown.

The clash between the pair in the first IAAF Golden League meeting of the summer will share top of the bill with the 100 metres showdown between world record holder Maurice Greene and Dwain Chambers.

Last summer Olsson, 22, was the only opponent to defeat Edwards in his 17 contests.

But at the Edmonton World Championships Edwards, 36, blew him away with a clearance of 17.92m.
