Edmilson keeping faith

14 April 2012

Lyon midfielder Jose Edmilson fears a lack of confidence could harm his side's hopes as they seek to recover from a 2-0 firstleg defeat against Porto in their Champions League quarterfinal tonight.

"We must keep up our morale," said Edmilson. "We have everything to play for. It will be difficult, but I know that we can go on to win. We must not concede goals. That is our main objective."

Porto, meanwhile, face an anxious wait to find out whether key striker Benni McCarthy will be fit for tonight's match.

He missed last weekend's league game with an ankle injury and without him, Porto lost for the first time in 34 domestic matches this season.
