Dos Santos set for Spurs

13 April 2012

Barcelona forward Giovani Dos Santos looks set to sign for Tottenham this week, according to the player's father.

The Mexican, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City, is likely to cost Spurs around £7million.

"Nothing has been finalised but it is an honour that a club as important as Tottenham want to sign Giovani," said his dad, former Brazilian footballer Zizinho.

"Leaving Barcelona is risky, but it could be the best option for him."

Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini, meanwhile, was today recalled to train with the France squad as an injury back-up ahead of tomorrow's friendly with Colombia.

Patrick Vieira has a thigh problem and coach Raymond Domenech has until Sunday to make any changes. France open their Euro 2008 campaign next Monday against Romania.
