Diego Tristan to discuss new deal

13 April 2012

West Ham striker Diego Tristan will wait until the end of the season before he discusses staying at the club with manager Gianfranco Zola.

Tristan's deal expires at the end of the season and Zola recently suggested the 33-year-old is putting a strong case forward for remaining at Upton Park.

"It is up in the air," Tristan said. "I came with the idea of playing this season and then we'd see at the end of it. I will do my best in the games we have left and then we'll see.

"I will speak to the manager and he will decide. I just hope that in these games I can keep playing well and help this team achieve their goal of qualifying for Europe."
