Dawson: No question about my loyalty

Matt Dawson today insisted his loyalty to the Lions squad had never been brought into question despite his attack on the tour management in the build-up to the First Test in Brisbane.

Dawson, who will be the Lions scrum-half in Saturday's deciding Third Test against Australia in Sydney, refused to discuss those comments or the after-effect on the squad. But, he was quick to kill of rumours that other squad members had been annoyed.

Dawson, who will replace injured Welshman Rob Howley, on Saturday, said: "My loyalty hasn't been called into question at any point .

"Playing for the Lions is the pinnacle and always will be. It's a fantastic honour and that's the end of the story."
