Danvers delivers just when she needs to

Tasha Danvers today spoke of her relief at finally overcoming the injury problems which have dogged her season.

The Los Angeles-based Londoner, 30, bounced back to form last night to qualify third-fastest for tomorrow's 400 metres hurdles final.

Danvers said: "I'm so happy because it has been horrendous this season, there's no other way to put it - an Achilles problem, three hamstring tears and a virus but I'm still standing. This has just done wonders for my confidence and I feel really good."
