Curtis backs Palace

Curtis Fleming claims Crystal Palace are too good to go down.

Palace, 21st in Division One, face fellow strugglers Stoke tonight and club captain Fleming said: "I've got too much faith in my team-mates and the squad.

"After a lot of results you start to doubt yourself. But it's very important that the lads stick together.

"We've got enough quality to get up that table. We're not hitting the heights we set ourselves. Hopefully, the time will come."

Palace have not won in the league since the start of October and Fleming added: "Footballers are basic animals. We want to be winning and doing well. We want to go on a long, unbeaten run."

Shaun Derry returns after suspension but Aki Riihilahti, Darren Powell and Jamie Smith are still out injured.
