Shrewd mover: Spurs chairman Levy

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy believes the club's Carling Cup victory proves he made the right decision to install Juande Ramos as manager.

Levy came under fire when he sacked Martin Jol in October to put Ramos in charge, having chased the Spaniard from the start of the season.

But Levy feels the switch has been vindicated and said: "We have a very good manager and he has proved it by winning the final. There was no pressure on Ramos, but this is a wonderful achievement for him and the players.

"It is a wonderful day for the team to lift the Cup. I am proud of all the team, the coaches and the fans. It's a reward for a lot of hard work we have done over the years.

"I always hoped it would come one day and we have done it. It is the best day I have had since I took over."
