Cunningham quits internationals

St Helens hooker Keiron Cunningham has announced his retirement from the international game.

The 29-year-old, still a key figure for the engage Super League leaders, has told Great Britain coach Brian Noble he does not wish to be considered for this autumn's Tri-Nations in Australia and New Zealand.

"I'm at the stage where I feel I should be concentrating on my club rugby," Cunningham told the Sunday Mirror. "I have explained the situation to Brian Noble, who hopes I will reconsider my decision, but at this stage I will not be going."
