Ton-up Billy Godleman curbed by 'poor' dismissal

10 April 2012

Billy Godleman was still not satisfied despite hitting his first century for Essex.

Godleman, who joined from Middlesex last year, was frustrated by his dismissal at the hands of Somerset's Michael Munday, believing he should have gone on to score more than his 106.

"He bowled some good deliveries but mixed them up with some poor ones as well and I got out to one of the poor ones," the 20-year-old said. "I felt in good nick and capable of a lot more runs. It's always nice to get a hundred and this one for Essex means a lot."

Essex closed day two at Taunton on 262 for five, 125 runs behind.
