Surrey will look to replace injured overseas star Kieron Pollard after they secured qualification for the Vitality Blast quarter-finals in thrilling fashion.

Surrey sealed a dramatic final-ball victory over Somerset last night, which kept up their unbeaten run across all formats this season and meant they were the first team to reach the knockouts.

There are four more group games for Surrey to navigate before the quarter-finals (from July 6) and Finals Day (July 16).

They will be without Pollard, the experienced Trinidadian, after he had an operation on a left knee injury that will keep him out for at least a month. He should be fit in time to play in The Hundred for London Spirit this summer, however.

Surrey will battle against a congested international schedule and visa delays to get another overseas player in for the back end of the campaign.

Last night at the Kia Oval, needing four from the final ball chasing 145, No9 Conor McKerr smote his first delivery through cover for a boundary to take them to victory by three wickets.

That game also created another injury concern for Surrey with key all-format all-rounder Jordan Clark leaving the field injured mid-over while they bowled.
