Jonathan Batty ends 15-year stay with Surrey

10 April 2012

Jonathan Batty has moved from Surrey to Gloucestershire on a three-year deal.

The 35-year-old wicketkeeper will join the rest of the squad when they return for winter training next week.

Batty, who spent 15 years at Surrey, said: "It is an exciting opportunity to take on a new challenge. I look forward to joining up with John Bracewell and Jack Russell."

Director of cricket John Bracewell said: "We are delighted that Jonathan has signed for us and I have no doubt that he is the missing link between the first and second division."
