Cousin remains in limbo

12 April 2012

Daniel Cousin is set to travel to Athens with Rangers on Tuesday after FIFA again delayed a decision on his move to Fulham.

The Gabon international, 31, has played for both Lens and Rangers this season and is still waiting to learn whether the world football body will sanction his £3million move to the Barclays Premier League.

Boss Walter Smith told the Scottish Daily Express: "We thought we would get a decision this week but it seems they have asked for more time to consider all the details."

He added: "Cousin will be travelling with us to Athens on Tuesday and we will have a look at things in terms of who will line up once we are over there and the players have been checked for any problems."

The striker made a substitute appearance as Rangers were held to a goalless draw against Panathinaikos at Ibrox last week and could now be involved in the UEFA Cup second leg on Thursday.
