Comolli: I'm not embarrassed over Jol affair

Director of football Damien Comolli has rejected suggestions Tottenham should be "embarrassed" by the farce surrounding the departure of Martin Jol.

The Dutchman, who is being linked with a move to PSV Eindhoven, knew his reign was effectively over once Spurs officials were caught meeting Ramos in August.

Spurs director Keith Mills said he regretted the way the club sacked Jol and brought in Juande Ramos.

But Comolli told the Ham & High newspaper: "I'm not embarrassed.

"Sometimes you have to make a decision in football and there's no embarrassment for us - we had a decision to make and made it."
