Clement blow for Baggies

12 April 2012

West Brom defender Neil Clement has been ruled out for the rest of the season as he continues to battle a long-term knee injury.

Clement, 30, underwent further major surgery in September having suffered the injury in a pre-season friendly against Real Mallorca.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray told the club's website, wba.co.uk: "I think Clem's recovery is on schedule. We're not anticipating seeing him this season. The specialist who saw him last week is positive."

He added: "Hopefully his rehabilitation will run smoothly and he'll be doing pre-season training with everyone else."
