Sick as a parrot: Ramsey can't stomach another loss for his side
Standard Sport5 March 2015

QPR boss Chris Ramsey said he was genuinely sick for his players after a hard-fought performance ended in defeat for relegation-battling Rangers.

Charlie Austin bagged his 15th goal of the season late on as Rangers sought a route back, but the hosts eventually fell to their 17th defeat of the season.

Queens Park Rangers manager Ramsey, speaking to BBC Sport said: "We played very well but you cannot keep being unlucky and sorry that you lost the game. Detail has cost us and I am genuinely sick for the players, I thought they gave everything but at this level it is the detail that matters. We can't keep relying on Charlie Austin.

"It is fantastic that he had a few shots, and he worked tirelessly for the team but we need to start creating opportunities for a few other people. Overall the performance was good and I am sick we could not at least get something out of the game."

Austin has scored 15 goals in the league this year, over half of QPR's total.

QPR have now lost six of their last seven and are firmly embroiled in the relegation spat, but they have a game in hand over Aston Villa who occupy the position directly above the drop zone.
