Chelsea v Ipswich

13 April 2012

(3pm, Stamford Bridge).
Tickets: Sold out
Fact: Chelsea, who are unbeaten in their last nine home games, won 2-0 when Ipswich last visited Stamford Bridge in 1994 with goals from Neil Shipperley and Dennis Wise
Recommended pub: Shed Bar (Chelsea Village complex)
Now that Claudio Ranieri seems finally to have the square pegs back in similarlyshaped holes, Chelsea will be looking to climb steadily up the table. Dennis Wise, for example, should have had the squad number 69 on his back with all the positions he's been asked to fill over the last few weeks. Happily, it all seemed to come together in the second half at Arsenal last weekend. The Blues stand nine points behind Ipswich, this season's over-achievers, but can cut that by a third if they, as I expect, notch up their ninth home Premiership win of the season tomorrow.
VERDICT: CHELSEA MOVE ON UP
