Bridge switch? Chimbonda
13 April 2012

Chelsea have not cooled their interest in Tottenham right-back Pascal Chimbonda despite being priced out of the market when they wanted to sign him in the summer.

The former Wigan Athletic defender has hit an impressive run of form and scored in the 2-1 win over Manchester City before turning in a composed effort in the 1-0 victory over Portsmouth on Saturday.

The People claims Chelsea are still keeping track of the Frenchman although it would be a surprise if Spurs were to sell him.

The Blues reportedely offered as much as £12m for Chimbonda in June but then Spurs manager Martin Jol did not want to sell.

However, new boss Juande Ramos may want to completely rebuild the White Hart Lane squad and start from the back.
