Charlton v Sunderland

13 April 2012

(3pm Saturday, The Valley)

Tickets: Sold out.
Last season: 0-1 (Rae)
Facts: Sunderland, who have failed to score in their last three games, have won only two games against sides in the top half of the table all season. Charlton have gone six games without a win
Recommended pub: The Bugle Horn (The Village)
The old adage says that there is always one surprise entry in the relegation stakes and this year folks, it's the turn of Sunderland. Black cats are supposed to mean good fortune, although the moribund moggy in the road the other day didn't look too lucky to me. Peter Reid's strugglers will be fortunate however, should they manage to hold on to their place in the top flight and Alan Curbishley's side, who haven't managed a victory in the Premiership for a month now, could still put Sunderland right on the brink.
Verdict: CHARLTON REVIVE
