Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson made three changes to his side for tonight's Champions League match at Roma.

Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar recovered from the groin strain that caused him to miss Saturday's 4-0 victory against Aston Villa to take his place between the posts.

He replaced Tomasz Kuszczak, while Park Ji-Sung and Anderson also returned for the quarter-final first-leg match.

Ryan Giggs and Carlos Tevez had to settle for places on the bench, with United aiming to keep up their recent good form against the Italians.

They took four points off tonight's opponents in the group stages of this season's competition.
