Burton hunting for defensive cover

13 April 2012

Wimbledon boss Terry Burton will step up his bid to bring in defensive cover after hearing Mark Williams could be out for another six weeks.

The Northern Ireland international broke his leg on the opening day of the season against Birmingham.

Burton is planning to approach Ipswich in the hope of extending Wayne Brown's spell at Selhurst Park by a further month.

Brown is due to go back to Portman Road after Saturday's south London derby against Crystal Palace.
