Burns: We won't slip up this time

Tommy Burns is confident there will be no repeat of last year's slip-up against the Faroe Islands tomorrow.

A year ago Scotland had to come back from 2-0 down to salvage a draw in Toftir in the opening game of their Euro 2004 qualification campaign.

They know their hopes of reaching the finals in Portugal could depend on beating the part-timers at Hampden Park.

Assistant manager Burns said: "For many of the players who played in the Faroe Islands it was their first or second international. The squad is settled now."

Captain Paul Lambert missed training yesterday with an ankle problem but is expected to play.
