Burns' late rally saves him

Richard Burns holds a two point lead in the world rally championship over Frenchman Sebastien Loeb's Citroen after the San Marino event.

The Englishman struggled throughout the three-days and finished seventh behind winner Loeb only because Peugeot team-mate Marcus Gronholm retired while in third place and rain on the final two stages saw Burns catch up on those ahead.
