Buoyant Lee enjoys life under Boothroyd

Watford goalkeeper Richard Lee believes the arrival of new manager Adrian Boothroyd will give the team a fresh impetus.

The former Leeds coach takes charge of his first game when Watford travel to Burnley tomorrow hoping to end a run of six games without a win.

Lee, 23, said: "It's a new experience for me, having a new manager come in, but he's given everyone a lift and everyone realises they've got to prove themselves again.

"You can see a visible lift in the lads and we want to take that positive feeling with us. Training has been very lively. Like everyone else, I want to be on that teamsheet."

Lee, who was brought into the first team by Ray Lewington at the start of the season, admits it has been a difficult time at Vicarage Road recently.

"It's been a long few weeks and plenty has been said but we know we've got a massive game tomorrow. We all know that we need one or two results to go our way and we're all striving to make that happen."

Watford will be without captain Sean Dyche, who has a groin injury.
