Bucknor's dismay at axe from Test series
West Indian umpire Steve Bucknor today expressed his disappointment at being axed for the remainder of the series between Australia and India.
Bucknor was relieved of his duties by the ruling International Cricket Council after complaints about his performance during the Second Test.

"I am disappointed I am not continuing the tour," he said. "It is a sad day to see an umpire sidelined after making only two wrong decisions out of a record 35 appeals."
Bucknor's contract with the ICC runs out in March but he is expected to continue beyond that.
The 61-year-old Jamaican has stood in a record 120 Tests.
Australia and India, meanwhile, have abandoned their policy over contentious low catches.
The teams agreed before the series that batsmen would accept the word of the fielder rather than refer them to the third umpire. But the sides have scrapped the arrangement after several disputed catches in Sydney.
