Britain are in high spirits

Britain's swimmers have the feel-good factor as they gear up for the World Championships, which begin in Barcelona on Sunday.

National performance director Bill Sweetenham said: "Team morale is great coming into this meet and the athletes are looking extremely good."

In the men's breaststroke, James Gibson and Darren Mew are ranked as the top two in the world over 50m and are among those British swimmers who could win a medal.

Katie Sexton and Barnet's Sarah Price should do well in the women's backstroke.
