Bridge backed by Terry

John Terry today urged Jose Mourinho to abandon his controverisal pursuit of Ashley Cole.

Chelsea are facing a Premier League investigation following allegations they tappedup the Arsenal left-back.

Mourinho has made clear his determination to buy a new full-back this summer but skipper Terry believes Wayne Bridge has the quality to be Chelsea's first-choice left-back.

He said: "Bridge is a first-class player, one of the best left-backs in the world. Ashley's a great player but I think if you speak to Ashley, he's Arsenal through and through."
