Brentford's grand plans

Brentford have unveiled plans to increase the capacity of Griffin Park to 17,000.

The club's priority is to build a new stadium near Kew Bridge but should that scheme fall through they intend to redevelop their existing 12,000-capacity home.

Director Doug White claims an initial rise to 14,000 is achievable within the stadium's boundaries and the further increase would involve buying houses behind the Ealing Road stand.
