Brazil to call shots

Brazil have agreed to play Haiti on 18 August in a match where fans can hand in guns in return for a ticket.

The poverty-stricken nation has recently suffered another bloody revolt and Brazil hopes the "makes goals not war" message will work.

Ricardo Teixeira, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, said: "Ronaldo insists on being there, Carlos Alberto Parreira (national coach) insists on going. All of us in Brazil have to do our bit to end the years of fighting."
