Anthony Yarde stopped Travis Reeves in the fifth round at the Royal Albert Hall to take a step closer to a world title shot.

Yarde, now unbeaten in 18 professional bouts, hit Reeves with a series of punishing hooks with referee Marcus McDonnell sensibly stopping in to end the contest.

Earlier on the card, Daniel Dubois extended his professional record to 10-0 after knocking out Razvan Cojanu inside two rounds.

Dubois, 21, had racked up eight victories by knockout before he was made go the distance against American veteran Kevin Johnson in October last year.

But the Greenwich-born heavyweight made quick work of Cajanu on Friday night, ending the contest with a vicious flurry that left his opponent unable to beat the referee’s count.

31-year-old Cajanu represented another step up in quality of opponent for Dubois. The Romanian went the distance with former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker in May 2017.

Johnson before him has previously shared the ring with Dereck Chisora, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

"We know what he can do. If he catches anyone correctly they're gone and that's what we saw tonight," Dubois’ promoter Frank Warren said after another devastating performance.

Dubois is now being tipped for a meeting later this year with Nathan Gorman, another unbeaten British heavyweight.
