Boxing in the UK will return on Friday July 10 with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions announcing a series of summer shows.

The coronavirus pandemic saw the sport in the UK brought to a halt in March but domestic fights behind closed doors will return next month.

Events are to be staged at the BT Sport studios in the capital with three British title fights confirmed.

On Frank Warren’s first show back, unbeaten British and Commonwealth super bantamweight champion Brad Foster takes on another undefeated fighter in James Beech.

A second show, with a date still to be confirmed, will see the British super featherweight title up for grabs with Anthony Cacace, who took the belt from Sam Bowen in Birmingham last November, defend against Leon Woodstock.

Highly-rated super middleweight Lerrone Richards will feature on a third show, putting his British and Commonwealth titles on the line against Londoner Umar Sadiq.

Also on the July 10 card, WBO European super welterweight champion Hamzah Sheeraz (10-0) will defend his title against Paul Kean, a bout that was originally slated for April.

Heavyweight prospect David Adeleye will also feature.

Warren said: “This is just the beginning. It’s going to be a magnificent summer of Great British boxing."
