Bovina ousts Capriati on day of shocks

Top seed Jennifer Capriati was the biggest casualty on a day of upsets in the second round of the Kremlin Cup indoor tennis tournament.

Of the seven seeds in action in the men's and women's events, six of them lost. Capriati, who was seeking her 400th career match win on her Moscow debut, lost 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 to 20-year-old local Elena Bovina.

France's Amelie Mauresmo was the only seeded player in either draw to advance, defeating American Alexandra Stevenson 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
