Bond faces further scan

14 April 2012

New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond is to undergo another scan of his troublesome back after experiencing pain in a Christchurch club match.

Bond, who returned from New Zealand's tour of Sri Lanka in May after being diagnosed with a stress fracture, missed the recent tour of India.

He was also left out of the team leaving for Pakistan tomorrow for five one-day internationals.

Meanwhile, India reached 184 for five at tea on the first day of their three-day tour match against Victoria in Melbourne today. Sachin Tendulkar scored 80 and Sadagoppan Ramesh was undefeated on 67 at the interval.
