Bicknell makes it magnificent seven
Surrey thumped Northants by an innings and 55 runs, taking the visitors' last five wickets before lunch at Guildford.
Martin Bicknell took two more wickets to make it seven for the innings as Northants collapsed and Surrey claimed a win within three days for the second time this season.
Northants returned on 99 for five, a deficit of 149 runs, but were soon in further trouble when Bicknell, who took 16 wickets on this ground last season, had Toby Bailey caught.
Skipper David Ripley was next to go, cracking some lusty blows before edging Bicknell's delivery to substitute fielder Gary Butcher.
Ed Giddins had Swann, who made 41 from 45 balls including nine fours, caught before Ben Hollioake removed Paul Taylor and Alex Tudor finished it with Jason Brown's wicket.
