Bees too strong for Belfast Giants

13 April 2012

Bracknell Bees climbed to a season-high fifth in the Sekonda Superleague table as Belfast Giants slumped to their third defeat in four days.

Two goals in the opening four minutes from Jason Heywood and Chris Brant sparked Bracknell's fifth victory from their last six matches.

Brant opened up a 3-0 lead early in the second session.

The teams then traded five powerplay goals as Kory Karlander, Paul Ferone and Colin Ward struck for Belfast in front of their latest sell-out crowd at the Odyssey Arena.

Dan Ceman and Stephane Roy hit markers for Bracknell before Frank DeFrenza finished off the Giants.
