Beckham facing Raul clash

David Beckham will go head-to-head with Real Madrid captain Raul when London take on Madrid in the vote for the 2012 Olympics next month.

After the England captain agreed to be part of London 2012's last-minute public relations push in Singapore, Madrid chiefs have confirmed Raul will be their leading sporting ambassador.

Paris, however, have heeded warnings from the IOC and will not turn the Singapore meeting into a showdown of galacticos with Real's French midfielder Zinedine Zidane now not expected to make the trip.
