Be ruthless, urges Fergie

13 April 2012

Alex Ferguson is urging his team to find the killer touch tomorrow at Leeds.

Manchester United have scored just five times in five league games this term.

Having struck 36 goals in his first English season, Ruud van Nistelrooy has failed to score in open play in this campaign, while Diego Forlan's barren streak now extends to 25 matches.

Ferguson said: "We are lacking a killer touch. The effort cannot be faulted but we are not scoring the goals our play has deserved.

"Maybe we need to speed up our attacking play in the last third because I didn't anticipate it being harder for Ruud this year.

"There is no question we have players who can score goals and tomorrow gives us a chance to recover."

Gary Neville, who broke his foot at the end of last season, has an outside chance of playing.
