Barron leaves Crystal Palace

Reserve team manager Jim Barron has left Crystal Palace "by mutual consent".

Barron, who was also the Palace goalkeeping coach, was appointed by former manager Trevor Francis. Academy director Paul Holden will take charge of the reserve team.

Meanwhile, Tommy Black faces a lengthy ban after being sent off for the second successive game in the home friendly with Brescia. The midfielder was dismissed for retaliation as Palace let slip a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3.
