Barnet role for Fairclough

Paul Fairclough was today appointed as football advisor to Barnet for the rest of the season.

The former Stevenage boss will work alongside Ian Hendon and Danny Maddix, who were appointed caretaker managers after Martin Allen resigned.

Fairclough works for the Foootball Association as manager of England's non-League team and will keep this role.

Barnet also today settled their compensation battle with Brentford over Allen's departure. The Conference club had applied for a High Court injunction to force Allen to spend the rest of the season on gradening leave.
