Baggies facing a fight to keep Filipe

13 April 2012

Tony Mowbray fears he could lose Filipe Teixeira should his West Brom side miss out on promotion to the Premier League.

French-born Teixeira scored two as Albion brushed aside Coventry 4-0 last night to return to second place in the Championship.

Baggies hero: Filipe Teixeira

Mowbray said: "He is having an excellent season for us, and he could play at a higher level.

"There have been several Premier League scouts at a number of our matches this season and I am sure some of them will have been watching Filipe Teixeira.

"He showed his quality again (against Coventry) and, if the same thing happens as last season, it might be interesting to see what develops."

West Ham, Middlesbrough and Bolton are believed to be among the clubs keeping tabs on the Baggies star.
