Arsenal's kids ready for their big cup chance

13 April 2012

Rhys Murphy claims Arsenal Under 18's will not underestimate Liverpool in the FA Youth Cup Final first leg at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are favourites to add more silverware to the Premier Academy League title secured with last Sunday's 1-0 win against rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

But England youth international Murphy insists the prize of securing a place in the first-team squad for next season will ensure his team-mates do all they can to take a lead to Anfield for next Tuesday.

"There is a special atmosphere around the training ground but we're not getting too hooked on it," said Murphy. The coaches are telling us it's a good thing to win but remember you want to make your careers as well. We don't want to get caught up in it but yes we want to beat Liverpool."
