Arsenal won't rush van Persie
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has no intention of rushing Robin van Persie back into action, despite the loss of Eduardo da Silva.
Croatia striker Eduardo is out for nine months after breaking his leg and suffering a dislocated ankle against Birmingham last weekend.
However, the Gunners boss insists he will patient with the Dutchman who has been sidelined by knee and muscular problems and told Arsenal TV Online: "We will not rush Robin van Persie back, but the news is quite good."
He added: "It is difficult to say, we go step by step, but he should come back into normal training very, very quickly now.
"Maybe I am being a little over-cautious in my statements, but I do not want to put any special pressure on him."
Arsenal - who are three points clear of Manchester United at the top of the Barclays Premier League - have several players in a busy treatment room.
Alex Song (knee), Tomas Rosicky (hamstring), Kolo Toure (knee) and Johan Djourou (groin) are also still out, while Emmanuel Eboue is suspended.
However, French midfielder Abou Diaby has now recovered from his calf problem and will be back in the squad to face Aston Villa on Saturday and Toure could be in contention to face Milan at the San Siro.
"It looks a little bit early but you never know," Wenger said.
