Cesc Fabregas and Alexander Hleb are struggling to be fit for Arsenal's visit to Newcastle tomorrow.

Fabregas is desperate to play but has not totally shaken off the hamstring injury he picked up against Sevilla last week.

Hleb limped out of Arsenal's 2-1 win at Aston Villa at the weekend with an Achilles injury having only just returned to the team following a hamstring problem of his own.

Arsene Wenger said: "Hleb had a kick on his Achilles and I am not sure he will be available for Newcastle on Wednesday night."

Meanwhile, Arsenal's players and board of directors have each donated a day's wages as part of the club's 'Be a Gooner, Be a Giver' initiative to help reach the £250,000 target to fund dedicated sports facilities at the TreeHouse school in north London.
