Ardley boosts Dons play-off bid

Wolves 0 Wimbledon 1

Neal Ardley's fourth goal of the season stretched Wimbledon's unbeaten run to 13 games but he reckons it is too soon to talk about the First Division play-offs.

Ardley, 29, is the club's longest-serving player and he said: "I know it sounds a cliché but we are taking each game as it comes.

"I think this attitude has stood us in good stead recently. At the start of the season we spent too much time worrying about where we were in the table and how far away from the play-offs we were. Perhaps took our eye off the ball.

"After all the draws we've had we knew how important it was to win last night.

"We have three home games coming up but if we look any further ahead than the Birmingham game on Saturday we are in danger of getting knocked back again."

Wimbledon dominated the game but had only Ardley's 55th-minute strike to show for their superiority.
