£7m tonic for England

English cricket received a boost today with the news that npower have extended their sponsorship of Test match cricket for another two years.

The new £7million deal runs to 2005 and will include home Test series against West Indies and Australia.

The England and Wales Cricket Board are also likely to sanction a new 10:45am start time for Test matches this summer to limit the amount of time lost to bad light.
