Another award for Flintoff

Evening Standard14 April 2012

Andrew Flintoff received further recognition for his outstanding summer last night when he was presented with the Professional Cricketers' Association's player of the year trophy at the Royal Albert Hall, only hours after helping England into the ICC Champions Trophy Final.

The England and Lancashire all-rounder, who has scored at least 50 in each of his last eight Test matches and hit three centuries and a 99 in his last seven one-day internationals, was voted for the award by his fellow players.

Pakistan were expected to go into today's ICC Champions Trophy semi-final at the Rose Bowl, Southampton with the same side which beat India by three wickets.

The West Indies were waiting on the fitness of pace bowler Mervyn Dillon, who has a shoulder injury.
